Hi there, I don't think it is possible to connect to a device on a private network from the Internet without using an external IP, or some sort of dynamic DNS running on a computer to detect IP changes. you could probably find out what external IP your ISP has assigned to you right now, but they will most likely change it as soon as they see you are using it for inbound connections.. I know those pricks pretty well.
I guess your only alternative is to use dynamic DNS services like Dyndns or no-ip.
Exactly what happened. I had access for one day and then the IP address changed (and does so regularly).
Leaving a PC running at home permanently seems a waste of electricity. Do you know of any devices that can do this IP address check and syncro in the place of a PC?
Thanks.
