Why easiness is important to me? because if you have worked with remote users, then you know how a pain in the ass is to guide them over the phone to download and configure a software to gain remote access to their computers. not too long ago, I had to write long how-to documents for users on how to download and install the remote screen sharing tool I was using in order for me to get remote access to their computers.

there are only two buttons on join.me, so there is no confusion at all ( this is a huge + when dealing with users ) basically the whole process of gaining access to a remote user computer is inviting that user to go to join.me and click on the share button, and execute the a little executable file that get’s downloaded.  there is no installation. after the user click on the executable file, this menu will appear on top of the desktop:

then just ask the user to send you the link that appear on top, and that’s it… its just that simple.

so far, I have been using Mikogo for screen sharing, but now Mikogo has been substituted by join.me… let’s see how it goes.

Jomsocial – Open Source

Skyangel lists router emulators for most common wireless routers. Linksys, Netgear, D-Link, Belkin, etc.

Downloading your Photos, and your friends photos, and all you photos you have been tagged on Facebook is easy.. because Facebook is an open box that you can easily get into using a technology Facebook made available called API ( application programming interface ) this is what those thousands of applications on Facebook use to program their application. we will use the same technology to download the photos.

Go to this page and download photograbber once it is downloaded, unzip the file and then click on the executable file:

then click on the login blue button:

your default browser will open up, enter your Facebook username and password. the application will ask for access permission to your profile ( just like any other Facebook App does ) then you will get a generated code. copy and paste that code onto photoGrabber:

then click on I want to Download :

that’s it. basically from there on you are into Facebook, and you can download all your photos, photos of your friends, and all the photos you have been tagged on Facebook.

one of the biggest problems I have with Filezilla is clutter:

Filezilla interface is clutter with too many options which often confuse. I also think Filezilla is more resource intensive. another thing I hate about Filezilla is that when I update a file on the web server, it always prompt me to confirm if I want to update the file.
