here is a good Adobe reader alternative, it is called Nuance PDF reader. this PDF reader is smaller than the last version of adobe reader, and it seems to have some very useful features. some of those features are:
Fill and save PDF forms - I think the latest version of adobe reader let you do this as well.
Use less disk space – Nuance PDF reader uses around 50 MB for its installation.
Annotate PDFs – it let you highlight, underline, or cross-out text
Convert PDF files to Word, Excel, or RTF – this is a cool feature, and very useful when you have deleted the original file

the conversion of PDF files to word, excel or RTF files is not built-in within the software, it requires to open up the browser and enter an email address where you want the file to be sent:

overall I think Nuance PDF reader can be a good alternative to adobe reader. download it and try it, and judge by yourself.
